i am that girl jen. i could bore you with all the "in the beginning" stuff, and maybe i'll save that for another place and time, but more than likely not.

 

 

 

i have all my fingers and toes. my favorite color is black. i love sleeping in. i have tinnitus.  i like my steak as rare as possible, give it to me mooing and i'm a happy girl. grilled cheese sandwitches made with love are the best thing to eat on a rainy day. i love the beach contrary to popular belief. on clear nights i like going out in my yard to look at the moon and stars. i do not like raw tomatoes.

and i am not "medicated daily" in order to survive. i'm an all natural, well adjusted human being.

 

"all the wrong turns led me to the right place." this is my personal motto. it reminds me that no matter what has happened in the past, that where i am right here and now is exactly where i should be. i have everything i have ever wanted. a loving and supportive husband and an amazing daughter. sure i am a creature of history, but i like the present and am hopeful for the future.


speaking of history, we live in an old bungalow. our "old betty" was built in 1927- or possibly 1921 depending on what paperwork you are referred to. she's a work in progress, but we like her. it's a little small for us, but it's a happy space, so we're making due with what we have for the time being. there's always something that needs to be done, but it's one thing at a time right now. little by little.

 

before we had EP, i had a few different jobs. i worked for the most magical place on earth, WALT DISNEY WORLD, was a hand model, makeup artist, worked in a retirement home, was a nanny, was a professional debt collector, sold insurance, and even did some retail back in the day. now i "work at home" and i truly love being a SAHM. it's the best and most rewarding "job" i have ever had.

 

i love to cook, eat and drink. i love a good bottle of wine or a perfectly made martini- vodka of course- and bittersweet is my favorite kind of chocolate- how appropriate i know.  i find doing the laundry theraputic although i really don't enjoy ironing very much. i love to sing, paint and sew, but only when i'm in the mood. i hate clutter and get distracted very easily. i'm creative, which is why i have had "a few" different kinds of jobs. i've never setteled down into anything until EP.

i'm now a stay at home mommy. or as i refer to my title: SAHM or domestic engineer or domestic goddess.  it is the toughest job, but i wouldn't trade all the time i get to spend with EP for anything.  of course i cook and clean and do laundry- the usual stuff to manage the household.  fortunately daddy helps out too.

 

i'm a disney kid. we spend as much time at mickey's as possible, especially now that we have EP, but even before her, it's one of my favorite places to visit. i never want to grow up, or get old. i also love NOLA. as you can see i'm a "fleur" girl. if i could live anywhere in the world i'd like to live on a vineyard in italy, or a deserted island.

i've been slow going on the Farewell to Thee and Venus, on the Rocks stuff. it's my fault, but soon i am told we will be recording some vocals. so the plan is to work on the FWtT stuff until the end of the year.

i've even been a bit inspiried and have finally put up some pictures in the photo section. took me long enough, right??
