I had set my mind to putting up a blog post weekly every Friday. I never know the focus on when it comes to the concept of WHAT to actually blog/write about.
My blog has become a patchwork quilt. There’s a bit of everything here that I write about. I do it mostly for myself, as a “thing” to do, I’m not expecting any dedicated readership… I’m totally ok with that.
So today’s blog, be it a day late, is just my appreciation for the day.
On Saturday, Josh and LP head out for their daddy/daughter time. They do breakfast or coffee, run errands, chat and spend a few hours together. It gives them a time and space away from me, and me a bit of time to have to myself. I’m pretty outgoing, and LOVE being a wife and mom, but I need a little time to myself. I’m a crab.
Cancers are highly intuitive, and their psychic abilities manifest in tangible spaces: For instance, Cancers can effortlessly pick up the energies of a room. These crabs are highly sensitive to their environments, as well as extremely self-protective.
side note/tangent/squirrel: Crabs are pretty interesting little creatures. As a kid growing up with a multitude of trips to the beach which was pretty much weekly, I spent countless hours catching Fidler crabs and coquinas. They were always so pretty to look at. If I do get back home, I need to grab a Biff Burger, and spend an afternoon on the beach. I miss the salty sea air. These beautiful sidesteppers spend their time between land and sea, as they are land and water breathing. They seem to be quite communal, have soft bodies, and hard exoskeleton. And those claws, they can regenerate! I mean really such interesting animals. And they always look like they’re busy doing something… what was I doing? Oh yeah, writing about the day.
As much as I love people, crowded rooms and vast amounts of conversations and interactions, I crave time to myself. Fortunately the boy knows this and understands my need and quirk, and gives me a bit of space in time every week.
Ain’t it grand?
So on this Saturday, I’m curled up on the sofa, putting some words down, while listening to an Episode of the Edwardian Farm from BBC2, enjoying some pasta Alfredo and a coconut-strawberry smoothie.
Hope you are also enjoying your Saturday, wherever you may be.
