Dear Diary,
Oh and Hello Jessica!
Today I’m sitting here, contemplating the meaning of life. Not really, but it’s a good place to start.
The month of May is said to bring growth, love and success. Tell that to my zinnias… something has made quite the fest upon them.
And in the spirit of growth, love and success, IT IS OFFICIAL!
La petite will be flying the nest. That time and place is now on the horizon and calendar.
As the late Theodore Seuss Geisel wrote, “Oh the Places You Will Go.”
And go she shall.
And I have all the emotions and feels.
I’m beyond proud of her decision and accomplishments. She’s known since December what’s been in her heart and head, and we’ve begun the planning process. At the moment, I’m crossing fingers she gets to live in one of her 3 preferred dorms of choice.
She won’t be just down the road… which is going to be a HUGE change for all of us. But we’re excited for her 100%. And I know she’ll be home for Christmas. I know I’m writing like she’s already there… don’t worry, we’ve been hanging out and spending time together. I’m trying to soak up as much time as possible while she’s still here.
There’s so much to do, to buy and pack. Summer’s just on the cusp, and I know it will speed on by in the blink of an eye. Moe in day will be here before we all know it. But it’s HAPPENING! <3
So our May has been a month of growth, love and success.
Hard to believe it’s almost June!
